Description:
Since April 2023, over 97,000 Sudanese refugees are estimated to have arrived in Libya, including more than 43,800 registered by UNHCR, with over 25,300 registered post-conflict. Authorities estimate around 65,000 refugees have reached Alkufra, with 300-400 new arrivals daily. Due to the irregular entry routes, lack of shared data from authorities, and the vast land borders with Chad, Egypt, and Sudan, it remains difficult to accurately assess the total number of Sudanese refugees, particularly as many move towards coastal cities.
